Beach Inspired Tiles

We’re so lucky to call Cornwall home, with its stunning coastline right on our doorstep. In this workshop, we’ll take inspiration from the sea and head down to the shore to create a unique piece of coastal artwork. Using square wooden tiles as our canvas, we’ll combine beachcombing treasures with plaster to embed them into the surface. Then, we’ll bring it all to life with sand-textured paint, blending natural elements with creativity to capture the spirit of the seaside.

We’ll begin with a visit to the beach to gather inspiration for our artwork. Explore around rockpools, peer into shadowy caves, and paddle along the shoreline as you search for seaside treasures—whatever catches your eye. It could be shiny pebbles, perfect shells, glinting sea glass, weathered driftwood, or even a rusty old penny. Let the coast guide your imagination.
